When accuracy is key to production, NWS NUWEIGH has the solution for you!
With businesses adapting quickly to the demand on cleaning products and hygienic practises to contribute to the prevention of COVID-19, a leading chemical company approached us to assist in their production of hand sanitiser.
We needed to ensure the boxing of the bottled hand sanitiser is correct and accurate before dispatch from the production factory. Our solution involved combining a NUWEIGH bench scale and the JAC318 indicator to identify any weight discrepancies before the package is sent. This allowed the client to quickly and easily ensure the boxed Hand Sanitizer was correct with minimal handling as efficiently as possible.
Our specialised technician programmed the scale to specify the box weight: 350g and the net weight of 12 hand sanitizer bottles: 1360g with a 7g +/- tolerance allowed.
The integrated HIGH/LOW/OK indicator depicts three signals which are dependent on the weight reading:
UNDER – will determine if any objects are missing such as bottle, lid or seal
ACCEPT – if the weight reading is accurate and falls within the allowed tolerance
OVER – will determine if any objects are excessive in weight
The scale system is complimented by a small label printer that records the company name, weight, date and time the package is checked. This process will only occur with readings that are ‘accepted’ within the programmed weight range and then the data is captured on a .csv file to a USB Thumb Drive for future reporting.
